Their products help organisations maintain reliable and connected communications infrastructure worldwide.
They are seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer to support new product introduction and ongoing lifecycle development of wireless communication test equipment. This role will work closely with Research & Development and Manufacturing Engineering teams to design, implement, and optimise automated test solutions that ensure product quality, reliability, and production readiness.
Key Responsibilities Provide Design for Testability (DFT) guidance throughout the product development lifecycle. Define and implement test strategies for new products in collaboration with engineering teams. Design, develop, and deploy automated hardware and software production test systems. Create project plans to ensure test solutions are developed, validated, documented, and production-ready. Collaborate with manufacturing partners to develop scalable test systems, fixtures, and equipment. Apply measurement analysis techniques, including Measurement Uncertainty Analysis and Gauge R&R, to ensure test accuracy and reliability. Use statistical process control methods to monitor and improve production test performance. Optimise test coverage, cycle times, calibration processes, and manufacturing efficiency. Install, validate, and maintain production test systems across internal and external manufacturing sites. Develop technical documentation including test specifications, procedures, installation guides, and maintenance documentation. Work cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, Program Management, and production partners.
Candidate Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. 5+ years of experience designing and developing automated functional test systems. Strong experience with National Instruments TestStand for test automation. Solid understanding of RF and microwave communication principles and testing methodologies. Hands-on experience using RF test equipment such as: Network analysers Signal and spectrum analysers Signal generators Measurement receivers Oscilloscopes Digital multimeters Experience applying Measurement Uncertainty Analysis and Gauge R&R within manufacturing environments. Programming experience in ANSI C, with additional experience in Python, C++, PowerShell, or Linux scripting beneficial. Understanding of statistical process control and manufacturing quality methodologies. Strong project management, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across engineering teams.
